Operation snow desk

Named after the nearby springs, Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel and Cabins warmly welcomes summer and winter visitors. The hotel has recently undergone extensive renovation of public areas and rooms. The hotel in its current form was built in 1936 and still has a room wing from 1911 Operation snow desk.

. It has the signature map room with a large wooden map of the United States made from 15 different types of wood from nine countries. Guests can enjoy a variety of accommodations in the park and have the opportunity to see moose grazing outside the hotel.Operation snow desk.

In the winter, daily guided tours depart from the Mammoth Hotel to popular park areas such as Lamar Valley, Yellowstone’s Grand Canyon, Old Faithful and more.

Border hut

Frontier cabins have 2 queen beds, bathroom with shower only, lanai, heater, alarm clock, hair dryer and fan. There is no air conditioning, TV, telephone or radio and pets and cooking are not allowed. All rooms and cabins are non-smoking and non-vaping. The cottages are behind the hotel. Please note: Frontier Cabins are not open during the winter.

Cabin without bathroom

These cabins have 1 queen size bed, no bathroom but a sink, porch, heater, alarm clock, hair dryer and fan. Shared bathrooms and showers are centrally located in the cabin
